computer memory is required to run any program on your PC. While they do a good job, they are not the measure on what a computer user considers fast. Working on 5 megabytes of data alone is a huge job manually.
There are many things that can bog down and slow the operation of your computer system. Here are some ways that you can speed up your system so it runs faster for you.
Much of the computer's boot time is utilized by loading programs. Use the " By" mode to retain applications in memory and speed up computer boot time. The Stand By mode conserves power by closing the largest power hogs, the monitor and the drive. You can set up for a " Stand By" mode at the "Control Panel". For Windows XP operating system, the " Stand By" preference is prompted to you once you opt to power down. Programs and documents that have been opened are kept in volatile storage. You can get active quickly with " Stand By" mode, but before you enter it, it is advisable to save everything first. Otherwise, you will lose the changes you make in case of a power outage.
Defrag your hard drive in Windows, click the start button, click all programs, click accessories, click system tools, and then click disk defragmenter then click defragment now. Or you can go into my computer, right-click on the drive that you wish to defragment click on properties, tools, defragment now.
CLEAN WINDOWS REGISTRY. If the above tips did not improve your PC's performance, you might be faced with a cluttered Windows registry. To correct this problem, you will need to install a registry cleaner. You can download one for free, but the choice for the cleaner needs to be made with care. Cleaning the registry is a delicate matter, and a careless clean-up may lead to a destroyed Windows. Therefore it is recommended that if you undertake a registry clean-up on your own, on top of creating a restore point, you should back-up your registry. You can find free back-up programs by doing a simple search computer on the Internet.
Disk errors can also cause your computer's performance to slow down. Log out of your computer and log in again as the Administrator. Run CHKDSK nd see if there are damaged files. By running CHKDSK, you will be able to see the files that need fixing and if this cannot fix the errors you have run a system scanner for a slow computer fix.
We are installing programs and storing files on our hard drive, but when we delete them this space will be like a hole. Next time we will install or save a file it will use this space and more space in another part of the hard drive. That is mean our files are scattered and we need to make it organized.
Note: For laptops, such as a Toshiba Tecra, cleaning dust can be trickier because the parts are much smaller and more compact. If still under warranty, it might just be better to get it professionally cleaned.
If the blue screen does reappear, make sure it is the same error message you had received before. It's possible for your computer to become very slow if you don't take care of it. Scan your computer and delete any kind of virus.
